The Business Diligence & Strategy Group (“BDS”) is an internal group within Nautic Partners that provides market-oriented diligence on new investments as well as ongoing strategy development to portfolio companies. BDS is comprised of individuals from leading strategy consulting firms who are charged with the following objectives:
- Be responsible for best-in-class, customized market diligence on potential investments
- Monitor the value creation progress and initiatives within the portfolio
- Work with portfolio company management teams as needed on strategic initiatives. Representative initiatives include:
- Geographic expansion strategy development
- New market entry plan formation
- Pricing strategy
- Product-level or customer-level profitability analysis
- Sales force optimization
